Wouldn't everyone like to open up their own restaurant someday? It'd be a place to call your own, a domain reflecting you and your tastes...and yet, it'd also be a place that you could share with the public and say, "Welcome to my second home. Sit down, relax, and remember, you're always welcome back to Earl's Pizzeria." Someday when I'm old, beginning to sprout gray hairs and happily retired, I'd like to open up my own coffee shop or cafe. I'd call it "The Cozy Cavern" or some other phrase that seems relatively cheesy and inviting. It'd be for the lonely, the misunderstood, those who have just gotten into a big fight and need a cup or plate of comfort. It'd be for them. My cafe would have dim lighting, with white candles lighting the edges of the windowsills and beautiful arrangements of flower assortments on each table, giving it a sensuous, romantic yet mysterious atmosphere at the same time. It'd be a place where people, young and old, would want to try at least once in their lifetime.
It'd make the newspapers, praised for its exquisite decor and unbeatable customer service. Even though the decor would scream of extravagance and the hidden intricacies of high-class lifestyles, you'd see that the prices would be affordable to the general public. I'd make sure the employees understood the number one rule of customer service: "The customer is always right." I'd put the peoples' needs first and create an extremely welcoming atmosphere, especially in the cold winter seasons. You'd walk into the cafe and see fireplaces and mugs of hot chocolates with decadent whipped cream toppings and suede couches galore. You'd smile and recommend it to your friends and family. You'd bring your very first date there. You'd meet up with old acquaintances there. You'd make new friends there. Most importantly, you'd feel that sense of security and safety that all humans chase and strive for, even if you were far away from the one place you call "home".
